If you read my previous post, you know that I am a big fan of the Spurs Christmas jerseys this season and was following the auctions on the NBA Auctionswebsite last month. Sadly, I will not be adding one of the Spurs jerseys to my collection. I was really hoping for a chance at Lee or Simmons but the prices skyrocketed for the the whole team (the conversion from American to Canadian certainly did not help either).
Speaking of skyrocketing prices, the final bid for Kawhi's Christmas jersey went well into five figures with a final bid of $13,340. Yikes! Notably, the highest final bid outside of Golden State and Cleveland (band wagon fans, cough cough).
While Kawhi eclipsed the winning bid for Duncan's Christmas jersey from last season, he still has some catching up to do before reaching the price of a Duncan finals jersey. Here's hoping we find out if this is yet another thing Kathi is capable of this June...!
