As an early Christmas present for Spurs fans, Lonnie Walker was recalled from the Austin Spurs (along with Chimezie Metu) on December 23rd and was in uniform for the first time this season for the Spurs impressive 111-103 over the Denver Nuggets. Although Walker did not play, it was great to see him on the active roster. While it looks like the Spurs will take their time with Walker which, as noted over Project Spurs is not a bad thing considering the track record of this approach with Bryn Forbes and Dejounte Murray, Walker knows that his patience and hard work will pay off.
With Walker assigned back to Austin on December 27th, and the year end quickly approaching, now seemed like a good time to go back to the archives and enjoy some previously unseen postgame video footage of Walker from NBA Summer League. In these two clips that were recently posted to the Spurs in the 6 YouTube channel, Walker talks about a number of topics, ranging from Coach Pop having his back with it comes to food, his love of the hoodie and what it takes to be a Spur.
