Founded in 2014, and based out of Melbourne Australia, Uncle Jack markets itself as "a fresh & modern alternative to the traditional watches that have been around for decades".
Now while I love a good Swiss watch from Tissot, Tony Parker special edition or otherwise, Uncle Jack's new partnership with Patty Mills has caught my attention.
Why the collaboration between Mills and Uncle Jack? The teaser video on Uncle Jack's YouTube channel provides some insight. Patty talks about being a proud indigenous Australian and connecting with brands that have the same values as he does. Is this the connection? If so, it would be great to see more information and promotion around from this point of view.
Living up to their beliefs of collaboration and hype culture, Uncle Jack's social accounts have been promoting a VIP waiting list that will give those who subscribe early access to the release 9 hours before the general public.
What is the release you ask? The collaboration consists of four limited edition different watches with only 250 available of each style. The collection is inspired by fashion, sport & leisure.
The white on white is currently my favourite, although how can a San Antonio Spurs fan say no to something that is black & silver?
I have already signed up for the VIP drop which will take place on Tuesday September 4th at 10am AEST. That's 5pm EST for us in Toronto and 4pm CST for those in San Antonio. If you want to get in on the action, you can sign up for the VIP drop here.
