Originally posted July 12, 2017

In another high scoring affair, the Summer Spurs prevailed 99-85 over the Summer Trail Blazers. The #SummerofBryn continued as Forbes led the way with 35 points on 26 shots (11-26 from the field, 6-11 from three and 7-7 from the line).

Olivier Hanlan started in the place of a Murray and made the most of his 26 minutes playing a solid two-way game. Hanlan’s 16 points (on 7-9 shooting) and +16 were second best on the team (behind Forbes in both categories) and his stat line was fully flushed out with 2 boards, 2 assists and 3 steals. Check out Collin Reid’s game recap on Project Spurs for more insight.

The “Play-In Round” starts on Wednesday with seeds 9-24 playing over the course of eight games.  The winners of the Play-In Round will advance to the Round of 16 on Thursday where they will be matched up against seeds 1-8.

The Spurs finished as the 8th seed and will play the winner of the Pelicans/Hawks on Thursday at 1pm PST. You can see the entire tournament bracket here.

In the interim, continuing the tradition here on Spursinthe6, here is the third addition of Top Tweets Summer League Edition!
