Kawhi Leonard going to the next level with Jordan Brand

Less than a month ago, Jordan Brand provided a sneak peek of a limited addition Kawni Leonard collection with his signature klaw logo.

🖐 The @KawhiLeonard collection. Coming soon. pic.twitter.com/zDR9aKydRj — Jordan (@Jumpman23) April 14, 2016

Much to my chagrin, I missed the launch date and everything apparently sold out in minutes.

You lucky folks who live in San Antonio and were able to find these at your local Champs.

With the recent drop of Kawhi’s own collection, I thought this would be a good opportunity to share two recent articles I read recently on Kawhi’s Jordan kicks.

First, Nice Kicks has a new player profile (link) that takes a look at Kawhi’s best kicks on and off the court.  Some nice history here.  One shoe that I would add to the list, not that I have a reason to be partial or anything, is Kawhi’s recent Air Jordan XX9 “Frozen Moment” PE from the 2015 Christmas game.

More recently, Kicks on Fire wrote an interesting piece (link) from the perspective of Jordan Brand and whether Kawhi should have a signature shoe or continue with player exclusives.  For Spurs and Kawhi fans, I think it is a win-win proposition!

Now time to to turn back to the playoffs and Kawhi’s JordanXXX PE’s…
