From the archives: a Spurs in the 6 photo shoot

Originally posted October 1, 2017

It all started four years ago when the Spurs in the 6 family first meet our favourite family photographer, Krista Fogel.  It was our first family photo shoot in Under Pass Park and Corktown Common in the east end of Toronto.  We were looking for some fun, non-traditional family photos and Krista was a perfect match for our family.

Fast forward two years (and a fifth Spurs championship) and the Spurs in the 6 family meet up with Krista for our second family photo shot which produced this "iconic" shot looking west to downtown Toronto from the splash pad at Corktown common.

Another two years have passed (and two DPOY awards for Kawhi Leonard) and the family is set for our next photo shoot with Krista later this month. Last month, I need a headshot for work related purposes and met Krista for a photo session on Bay Street in the hear of Toronto's financial district.  Not wanting to waste a good opportunity, I also brought along some basketball gear.  It was unseasonably warm, so the shorts came in handy - no need for pants when the business headshot is from the waste up! You can check out Krista's blog post on our Bay Streets adventure here.

After the business (and semi-business) shots were done, we moved down to Front Street to find a spot with the CN Tower in the background... and I changed into my silver alternate Manu Ginobili jersey.  I love this shot that Krista captured!

Of course, I also tried Timmy's pose where he would hug the ball right before tip-off (I sure miss watching Tim play).

At the end of the session, I had some excellent business headshots and some great new photos for Spurs in the 6.  Thanks so much Krista!  For those in the Toronto area looking for a family photograph, check out Krista's website, you will not be sorry. And don't forget to check back here on Spursinthe6.com later this month for the results from the 2017 family photo shoot!
