Raptors 905 are the number one seed

With a 12-3 record, the Raptors 905 finished the truncated NBA G League bubble regular season first overall. The 905 look to carry the momentum of their 8 game winning streak into the single elimination playoffs.

"We are thankful that we are playing, we are thankful that we are still here and we are thankful that we have a chance to go with this thing", Raptors 905 coach Patrick Mutombo remarked while reflecting on the 2021 NBA G League regular season.

Having claimed the number one seed, the 905 will face the eighth seeded G League Ignite. "They're a good a team. They are obviously very athletic, with explosive one-on-one players. They have talented veterans who are willing to let the young guys play but also are capable of taking over when need be", observed Coach Mutombo during media availability on Sunday. "They're a well balanced team but again like I always say I trust our guys implicitly. I think our guys are prepared and they have the will to win. They have shown that it takes a lot, a lot, to beat us. So I am excited because I look at our guys and they are prepared, they are ready to go."

Tipoff (or ready to go) time is at 3:45 pm ET on Monday. The game will be broadcast on TSN4, NBA TV Canada and ESPN+ south of the boarder.
