Less than 24 hours until the D-League Champion Raptors 905 play their home opener at the Hersey Centre in Mississauga against the Long Island Nets.
Spurs in the 6 will be in the house and here are three things that I will be watching for:
Big shoes to fill: As reported over on Raptors Republic, Edy Tavares has signed a three year contract to play in Spain with Real Madrid of the Spanish ACB League. Tavares absence will leave the 905 with Big shoes to fill, literally.
Bling bling: The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica 2016-17 NBA D-League Championship ring - that is pretty cool!
One last chance: Earlier today, the Raptors announced the Bruno Caboclo has been assigned to the 905 (Alfonzo McKinnie has been assigned as well). Is this Bruno's last chance at securing an NBA career after his rookie contract expires (spoiler alert: I'm not holding my breath)?
Tip-off is at 7pm - you can catch the game live at the Hersey Centre (highly recommended) or on Facebook Live (where the video quarry is apparently much improved this year).
