With March break quickly approaching, there are some great opportunities being offered by the Raptors 905 to keep the kids busy and the "March madness" limited to college basketball...

Camp 905

From March 13-17th, the 905 are offering those in the Brampton area with a March break campfor kids ages 7-13. With early drop-off and pick up times, camp 905 should be a hit with mom and dad as well as the kids. In addition to a camp t-shirt, water bottle, basketball and string bag; a ticket to the 905 v Long Island game on March 18th is also included. For $305, the camp is actually reasonably priced compared to some other camps that I have. You can register for the camp here.

Watch the 905 play at the Air Canada Centre

The 905 also have two excellent opportunities to get the kids out to a game.

On Monday March 13th, the 905 play at the Air Canada Centreagainst theAustin Spurswith a 12 noon tip-off. At the time of writing, limited lower bowl tickets are still available for $14 making this just about the best value you will find to take the kids to see a basketball game at the ACC.

Last year the 905 set a D-League attendance record with 15,011 fans attending the pre-Christmas game at the ACC on December 20th. The record was short lived with the Santa Cruz Warriors attracting 17,497 fansto their February 12th game at Oracle Arena. With a capacity for basketball games of 19,800, will the 905 reclaim the D-League attendance record in a weeks time?

Of course, with Austin Spurs in town I hope to be there to cover the game and continue to develop content for a larger D-League story that I started working on after the D-League Showcase. Stay tuned!

Catch the 905 at the perfect time

Later in the week, the 905 are back at the Hersey Centrefor the aforementioned game against the Long Island Nets on Saturday March 18th. Based on the Ticketmaster seating chart, the game currently looks to be about 3/4 of the way to a sell-out. There are still a number of $14 tickets available - while they may not be lower bowl at the ACC they are still represent great value for a family outing. Plus, with a 2pm tip-off it doesn’t get much better from a scheduling perspective. I am taking both my boys to the game along with their mom, uncle and aunt. Lunch at our place, 905 game (with popcorn of course) followed by an earlier dinner - perfect!
