Traffic. Lots of traffic. The drive to the Paramount Fine Foods Center Mississauga was not fun one due to an accident on the Gardner Expressway. Once in the building, the sights of the “Degrassi Game” made the trip worthwhile.

The 905 got off to their typical slow start, trailing the Nets 26-19 after the first quarter. Chris Boucher scored 12 of the 905’s 19 points going 6-6 form the line and 3-8 from the filed. Jordan Loyd, who shot 1-6 in the quarter, once only other 905 player to score more than two points.
The second quarter saw an improvement in the 905’s offence as they scored 27 points. However the nets scored 32, increasing their lead to 58-46 at the half. Boucher was still leading the way for the 905 with 17 points white Loyd scored 11 points in the quarter to increase his total to 14.
The 905 closed the deficit to single digits repeatedly throughout the third quarter, but could not get one the hump, outscoring the Nets 29-27 to trail 85-75 at the start of the fourth. Loyd had another double digit quarter with 10 points to increase his total to 24. Boucher, now 5-15, struggled and sat at 19 points.
Loyd, who finished with 32 points, tried to will the 905 to victory in the fourth but it wasn’t enough as the 905 feel 114-106. Boucher finished with 26 points on 7-20 from the field.

I think shot selection is a big difference maker for him. ... It’s about his shot selection, his growth as a player, his understanding overtime of the situation and learning about those things. We will be able to watch the film now and now he has some actual tangible film to get better from.

While Malcom Miller still looks rusty, he was active on the court and it is good to see hime back out there.
The Degrassi uniforms are lit. The blue and yellow go really well together. I would love a pair of shorts for the gym.
Loyd had a matching pair of yellow and blue Nikes (that didn’t explode during the game) which were a perfect match with the Degrassi uniforms.
