The Luka Factor - Austin Spurs are now 5-1

On Tuesday, with Luka Samanic out with a sprained finger, the Austin Spurs suffered their first loss in the NBA G-League bubble falling 109-89 to the Canton Charge.


The Spurs were lead in scoring by Kenny Williams with 17 points. San Antonio Spurs assignee Tre Jones posted 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Robert Woodward II pulled down 14 boards to go with 9 points.

On Thursday, Samanic returned the lineup and the Spurs defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 104-101.


The Spurs were lead in scoring by Samanic who posted his fourth double-double in the bubble with 29 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and a block shot. Jones continued to run the point and contributed 14 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds. Samanic and Jones both had a team leading +7.

The Spurs are now 5-1 and take to the court again on Saturday against the Westchester Knicks.
